Glasgow Institute of Architects, in association with Rosneath Peninsula West Community Development Trust, is pleased to invite entries from Architects, design professionals and students to produce ideas for the rural community of Kilcreggan on the Roseneath Peninsula on the Firth of Clyde..

I just want to say how exciting I am finding many of these innovative ideas for the future development of my village; ( even if I don't live there at present.) I grew up in and around the village, and I am a frequent visitor to 'The Retreat', Argyll Road, where my mother has been living for over 37 years at this point; And, in the not too distant future, I am aimimg to be back there alot more often.
I am wondering if there is any community page through any social networking site; blog or facebook perhaps - where locals and locals who aren't presently so local, can interact about ideas such as these and about future community development generally. I'm beginning to sense it is seriously time that the community should pool ideas and skills and make the peninsula a shining example for the future. Thank you all involved for such wonderful inspiration. Betsy Carreyette
